CALMTICY begins with a different idea: intelligence should work for the individual without requiring the individual to surrender ownership.

Knowledge, experience and accumulated context should remain under the control of the people and communities they belong to.
Protecting memory means protecting its content, relationships and patterns of activity. Local-first design minimizes unnecessary exposure.
A machine-generated conclusion should never silently become an established fact. People deserve clarity about what was remembered and what was inferred.
Models and agents should receive only the context they are authorized to use. Sharing must be deliberate, limited and controllable.
Knowledge should retain a meaningful connection to its origins. Knowing where information came from is essential to preserving trust.
Memory must remain portable, correctable and deletable by its rightful owner. Preservation should never become captivity.
